Terms and Conditions of our 60 Day PC Warranty

All of our PCs include a 60 day Guarantee as follows:

Included With The Guarantee:

• Covers any defects caused by unexpected parts or component failure including CPU, GPU, Motherboard, Power Supply, Fans, Storage, Screen, Battery, etc... We will repair or replace components as necessary to return your PC to working condition.

• Also covers any peripherals or accessories purchased on the same day as the computer

• Covers any operating system instability or malfunction that occurs through ordinary use of the computer

• Includes ongoing PC tech support in-store, online, and over-the-phone during business hours

• Includes ongoing PC and component cleaning, maintenance, and repair services in-store

NOT Covered Under The Guarantee:

• Any defects caused by overclocking or other potentially harmful alterations done by the user

• Any defects, damages, or malfunctions following modifications, upgrades, or other work done by the user

• Any defects, damages, or malfunctions caused by user misuse, abuse, negligence, liquid spills, or physical damage of any kind

• Housecalls and PC transportation are not covered under the guarantee

*ONE computer covered per Guarantee. To extend coverage on multiple computers, please add additional Guarantees to your cart

**In the event that it would not be practical or possible to repair or replace your device or one of its components which would otherwise be covered by the extended guarantee, we may opt to cancel and refund your guarantee purchase amount in full as an alternative solution

 

Repair Service Terms and Conditions

Electronic repairs are unpredictable. Your device may be beyond repair or may be permanently damaged during repair and rendered useless. Circuit board components deteriorate over time and can fail without warning especially on liquid damage devices where components can short circuit, oxidize, corrode and rust over time. 

Repairs on devices with glued-on screens such as iPads involve prying the screen to access internal components. Screens are very delicate and can crack or break during the prying process. We are highly experienced and the risk of screen breaking is minimal, but glass can break and risks do exist.   

Touch id / Face id on apple devices may fail during repair and deemed unusable.

Integrated GPU on laptops and AIO computers can fail without warning especially on older devices such as 2011 Macbooks/iMacs. HP, Dell, Toshiba, and other devices with known GPU problems of any year make and model.

After repairing your device other elements may be compromised in your device when compared to its original condition including but not limited to water resistance, battery life, etc.

Although we strive to provide a repair service you will be pleased with, Alexandria Customs is not responsible for any damages or defects that take place during the repair process for any reason.

Estimates

While we try to be as thorough as possible with all estimates, we do not guarantee that our estimate is all-inclusive and final. Often, it is very difficult or impossible to identify every problem affecting a device until some work is performed. Our estimates may evolve or change during the course of servicing your device. If we need to update the estimate, we will let you know as soon as possible before we continue the service. Our initial estimate will always remain valid within the scope of the services it was originally attached to, though we may advise you that the original service may have become unnecessary or unlikely to resolve the issue.

Limited Shop Warranty

We offer a 7 day warranty on all repairs. If for any reason an issue from the original work order recurs within 7 days, we will either perform the service again at no extra charge, or at a reduced price. We may also choose to refund your repair partially or in-full. All parts used to service your device are also guaranteed for 7 days from the date of the service. The guarantee does not cover issues that may develop within the guarantee period that are not related to services performed or to the original issue or symptom diagnosed and repaired.

Device Warranty Disclaimer

Our shop is not affiliated with any third-party and any repair service provided is exclusively between the customer and our store. Any repair done in our store is likely to void any pre-exisiting warranty provided by the manufacturer or otherwise and by accepting these Terms and Conditions you are acknowledging that you understand and accept this.

Warranty Exclusions

We do not offer warranties or guarantees, explicit or implicit, on any of the following:

- Any service using parts not purchased through Alexandria Customs.

- Any software issues, including virus removal, Operating system installation.

- New symptoms/issues not directly tied to the original service within the 7 day guarantee period.

- Installing new hardware or modifying existing hardware in the 7 day guarantee period voids the Alexandria Customs shop warranty. 

Limited Shop Warranty

Recurrence of original symptoms or issues caused by user error or negligence in the 7 day guarantee period, including but not limited to physical damage (drops, crushing, exposure to temperature extremes), liquid damage (spills on and liquid immersion of the device), electrical damage (improper grounding, contact with poorly performing or damaged electrical networks), and damage caused through installation or use of harmful software components (viruses, malware, spyware), voids the Alexandria Customs Limited Shop Warranty

The Alexandria Customs Limited Shop Warranty is also void if prior or future work has been done to the device somewhere other than Alexandria Customs (including by the customer) due to the fact that issues and defects may be related to parts and labour provided by another entity.

NOTE: If your device is physically tampered with or damaged within the warranty period, the Alexandria Customs Limited Warranty is void. This includes but is not limited to cracked screens, dents to the casing, internal damage not present at time of original repair, attempts to open or modify the device, using non original charging cables to charge your device, or any other action, accidental or intentional, that could cause our repair to fail. 

Some services performed by Alexandria Customs may void your manufacturer's warranty. By accepting service from Alexandria Customs, you understand and agree that we are not held liable for voiding your device manufacturers warranty.

Estimate and Repair Time

We pride ourselves on the speed of our repairs, however many of the factors that determine the length of your repair are beyond our control. As such, we will attempt to service your device as soon as possible in the order it was received. Many of our repairs are completed in 1-48 hours, however we offer no guarantees of how long the service will take. Any references to service times on our website or in promotional materials are our best estimates based on previous experience and are not meant to represent an exact time frame or offer any guarantees of service time.

Replacement Parts Procedure 

If a service requires parts to complete, we will contact and inform you of the need. We will explain the part needed, why it’s necessary, any associated costs, and give an estimate of when the part will likely arrive. Alexandria Customs will generally not use parts not purchased by Alexandria Customs. This is due to our inability to verify that the parts are functional and will provide a good fit for your device. Any replacement parts not supplied by Alexandria Customs are not covered by any kind of warranty or guarantee except as might be provided by the part manufacturer. By providing your own parts, you acknowledge that you understand and agree that any work we provide is not covered by the Alexandria Customs Limited Shop Warranty or any other guarantee or assurance, explicit or implicit. You also agree to waive any liability for damage to your device caused by faulty parts or other part incompatibilities.

Data 

Alexandria Customs does not guarantee the security or safety of your data. While we take every precaution possible to make sure the integrity of your data is unaffected, we cannot assume liability for any lost data as a result of services performed by Alexandria Customs.

If we are aware that a procedure may result in loss of data, we will inform you of the possibility, what data may be affected, and will offer to back your data up at an additional cost. However, due to the complex nature of electronic devices, we cannot in advance predict what may happen to your data in every situation. We strongly encourage you to back up any important files and documents before you drop off or mail in your device for service

 

 

Custom PC Requests Terms and Conditions

 

Our Custom PC Request service works as follows:

• You submit the information required by the Custom PC Request Form to give us an idea of what the project will involve. Note: The Custom PC Request Form is provided free-of-charge. You are not required to follow through on the project until you place your deposit.

• We will contact you to discuss the specifics of your build and answer any questions you have about the process.

• Due to the high volume of custom requests Alexandria Customs receives, we require a non-refundable deposit of $1,000 (plus tax) to fully begin your project and send you a detailed PDF build plan. Note: This is a down-payment and not our build fee! All proceeds will go towards paying the quoted price as outlined in the PDF.

• You will receive by email a PDF quote detailing the proposed build plan based on the information you provide as well as recommendations made by the Alexandria Customs team. It will include information such as design choices, components, and pricing.

• We can provide multiple quotes to the customer and make changes to the quote based on customer feedback. We will not move forward with the project until the customer is provides their approval (via email).

• Time is of the essence in regards to approving your quote. Prices outlined in PDF quotes are subject to change therefore we reserve the right to alter the quoted price if not approved within 24 hours.

• Upon placing your deposit you are committed to approving one of our provided quotes. Your Custom Request Deposit is non-refundable. It takes considerable amount of time and energy to provide your custom quotes. We will work with you to make adjustments as necessary to your quote based on your feedback. If you do not approve your PDF quote after we have made multiple adjustments we have the exclusive right to keep your deposit either in-full or in-part as compensation for our time and efforts.

• We reserve the exclusive right to alter or deny any custom request for any reason (we will refund your deposit if we decide to fully cancel the project).

• Most importantly - the Alexandria Customs team will do their best to make your custom PC truly kick-ass!
